Amber is a compassionate counselor who brings a unique blend of personal experience and professional expertise to her role as a lead therapist at Greenhouse. A proud graduate of Texas Wesleyan University, Amber has dedicated herself to helping individuals on their journey toward healing and growth.

Amber’s path to becoming a therapist was profoundly shaped by her own life experiences. Growing up in a family marked by addiction and mental health struggles, she understands the challenges and complexities that individuals and families face when dealing with these issues. Amber considers herself a “Wounded Healer,” due to her own journey overcoming trauma and mental health issues. She shares strong hopes and intentions to help others be able to do the same.

Amber enjoys working with people who struggle with substance-related and addictive disorders, physical and neurodevelopmental disabilities, mood disorders, and trauma and stressor-related disorders.

She utilizes a blend of person-centered and solution-focused brief therapy, incorporating motivational interviewing, CBT, and reality therapy.

Amber is an LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent-affirming therapist with experience working in a variety of treatment settings, including court-mandated therapeutic communities, outpatient treatment, inpatient detoxification and residential treatment, and medication-assisted treatment.
