Cherish McGlasson, RN, BN, brings a wealth of diverse healthcare experience and passionate commitment to transforming lives in her role as a psychiatric nurse specializing in addiction treatment.

Before pursuing her nursing career, Cherish’s journey began as a surgical technician in the operating room. She later honed her nursing skills in the throes of the COVID-19 pandemic, serving in the ICU and ER as a float nurse for Centura Hospitals in Colorado.

As assistant director of nursing, Cherish conducts group sessions about various addiction topics, educating patients about the disease’s physiological impact on the brain, post-acute withdrawal syndrome, and Narcan usage. She also oversees admissions and discharges.

Cherish is currently pursuing a Psychiatric-Mental Health Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree at Texas Christian University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and is a recipient of the prestigious Daisy Award for exemplary clinical care and compassion during the COVID-19 crisis at St. Anthony’s Hospital.

Cherish’s personal connection to addiction fuels her dedication. Having witnessed the transformative power of recovery within her own family, she ardently believes in guiding individuals toward a fulfilling, sober life.
