Todd Garlington is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor with more than 10 years of clinical experience. Todd’s passion for helping others achieve sobriety was ignited by his own struggles with addiction. Garlington relapsed after 20 years of recovery and, after completing treatment, began his counseling career. He has worked with a number of organizations, including law enforcement, where he helped those revived from an overdose to find treatment. Garlington’s passion for helping others was recognized when he was recognized as the 2019 Counselor of the Year by the Fort Worth chapter of the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals.

Garlington is on the counseling oversight boards at both Tarrant County College and Weatherford College, which both have well-established counseling programs that provide an opportunity for students interested in the field of substance use counseling to earn an associate’s degree and begin working in the field.
