Julie Starr, LMSW, is a dedicated and compassionate therapist at Greenhouse Treatment Center. In her current role, Julie provides individual and group therapy to adults struggling with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. She utilizes evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), relapse prevention, and trauma-informed approaches to support clients in achieving long-term recovery and emotional wellness.

Julie earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2024, following the completion of her Bachelor of Social Work in 2023. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Texas and has passed the Texas Social Work Jurisprudence Exam. She is currently pursuing clinical supervision to obtain her LCSW.

Her clinical experience includes internships at Arlington Life Shelter and Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County, where she conducted biopsychosocial assessments, facilitated case management, led therapeutic groups, and supported clients through crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and recovery planning.

Julie brings a strengths-based, person-centered philosophy to her work and is known for her empathetic, nonjudgmental approach. Her clinical interests include addiction recovery, trauma work, and supporting underserved and vulnerable populations.
