Jessica Petty received her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania. During her mental health studies and through her work background, Jessica has gained experience in trauma, crisis, addiction, abuse, and working with those in poverty. She has worked as an outpatient recovery counselor in Illinois, leading recovery groups for adults and adolescents. After receiving her Masters, Jessica became a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois.
Jessica has seen first-hand how mental health, poverty, and trauma can lead to substance use and addiction. Through working with American Addiction Centers, Jessica aims to break down the stigma of addiction and mental health by providing education regarding the many facets of addiction and treatment.
