New AAC CEO, Dr. Tom Britton, Visits Greenhouse
Greenhouse Treatment Center’s parent company, American Addiction Centers (AAC), has a new CEO, and Greenhouse CEO Tyler Harrell and staff welcomed his first visit to the facility on March 3, 2022.
AAC’s new CEO, Tom Britton, visited the facility to meet all of the staff, introduce himself, and discuss how he can work together with Greenhouse to ensure that it continues offering trusted and highly rated addiction and co-occurring disorder care in Texas and to take the program to even bigger heights.
Dr. Britton took on the role of AAC CEO at the start of February 2022 and is excited to bring his more than 30 of experience in the industry to the program. Dr. Britton began his journey in the treatment industry after going through his own struggles with addiction. Once in recovery, he earned a master’s degrees in both marriage and family therapy and addiction counseling. From there, he earned a PhD in public health.
Dr. Britton’s professional experience combined with his own personal experiences with addiction and treatment have given him an unparalleled passion for bringing effective care to all those who struggle with substance use disorders and mental illness.
Britton comes to AAC from Gateway Health, a major non-profit provider of addiction treatment in the U.S., where he served as president & CEO. His clinical experience includes working closely with individuals suffering from mental health disorders, trauma, and addiction. Greenhouse staff are thrilled to work closely with Dr. Britton to take its program to new heights and further refine the program’s medical and clinical care.
